SynapseTree Product Terms

Draft v0.1 — placeholder pending Kurt's own terms text (2026-10-05: Kurt said he will provide the ToS text; replace this draft wholesale, keep only the source sheet for provenance). Product addendum to the Equational Applications LLC Terms and Conditions (revision date January 1, 2025, the “Base Terms”).

DRAFT — NOT YET IN FORCE. These Product Terms are a working draft published for review. They have not yet completed legal review and do not yet govern use of the Service; until they are finalized, the Base Terms apply to the Service except as described here. Questions: info@equationalapplications.com.

1. Incorporation and conflict

These SynapseTree Product Terms (“Product Terms”) apply to your use of the SynapseTree cloud service (the “Service”) operated by Equational Applications LLC (“Equational,” “we,” “us”). They incorporate the Base Terms by reference. These Product Terms control over the Base Terms for the Service wherever they conflict, including Section 2 (User Content) of the Base Terms, which is replaced for the Service by Section 3 below.

2. The Service

SynapseTree hosts isolated tenant databases (each, a “Database”) containing structured knowledge about your software projects, and provides access to them for you and for the AI coding tools you connect (via SDK or MCP server). The Service does not generate, host, or resell AI inference; you bring your own models and API keys (“BYOI”). We never see or store your model prompts or inference traffic.

3. Workspace Data — ownership and limited license

Content your tools write into a Database, and the Database file itself (“Workspace Data”), is yours. You grant us only the limited license needed to operate the Service: to store, replicate, back up, and serve your Workspace Data to you and the connections you authorize. We do not use Workspace Data to train models, and we do not use it for any other purpose. This Section replaces Section 2 of the Base Terms for the Service; the Base Terms’ broader license to User Content does not apply to Workspace Data.

4. Plans, databases, and billing

The Service is offered in plans (currently Hobby at no charge with 1 Database and about 50 MB of storage, Pro, and Team). Plan limits and prices are those disclosed at the point of purchase or signup. Hobby is free; no payment method is required. Paid plans, if offered, are billed monthly in advance and may be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period (consistent with Section 4 of the Base Terms).

5. API keys and acceptable use

Access to a Database is authorized by API keys issued to your organization. You are responsible for keeping your keys confidential and for activity under them. You may not use the Service to store content you have no right to store, to attack or probe other tenants, or to exceed your plan’s limits. We enforce database-per-tenant isolation; circumvention attempts are grounds for immediate suspension of the affected account.

6. Isolation, export, and deletion

Each Database is a physically distinct SQLite database in dedicated storage; there are no shared tables between tenants. You can download the raw Database file from the dashboard at any time and use it with the open-source engine offline. You may delete a Database from the dashboard; deleted Databases are removed from storage after a grace period. You may request deletion of your account by emailing info@equationalapplications.com.

7. Service stage; no service-level commitment

The Service is currently offered in a pre-general-availability stage. It is provided as-is (per Section 6 of the Base Terms) and we do not yet commit to any availability target. We will announce any service-level commitments before general availability.

8. Everything else

All Base Terms not modified above — including disclaimers of warranties, limitation of liability, governing law (Michigan), dispute resolution, severability, and the entire-agreement clause — apply to the Service as written.
