SynapseTree Privacy Notice

Draft v0.1 — placeholder pending Kurt's own privacy text (2026-10-05: Kurt said he will provide the policy text; replace this draft wholesale, keep only the source sheet for provenance). This notice covers the SynapseTree Service specifically. It supplements — and for the Service, controls over — the Equational Applications LLC Privacy Policy.

DRAFT — under review. This notice describes the Service’s intended data practices and is being finalized alongside the Product Terms.

What we collect

Account data: your email address, an optional display name, and (once an identity provider is integrated) the provider’s subject identifier for your account. This is created when you sign up.
Service metadata: your organization, plan, database registry entries, API-key identifiers (never the full keys), and storage accounting — kept to operate your account and enforce plan limits.
Workspace Data: the content your connected tools write into your tenant databases. This is stored on your behalf as described in the Product Terms.

What we deliberately do not collect

Your prompts or inference traffic. The Service is bring-your-own-inference: model calls happen between your tools and your chosen provider. They never pass through SynapseTree.
Your AI provider API keys. The Service has no reason to hold them and never asks for them.
Model training data. We do not train models on Workspace Data, and we do not sell it.

Tenant isolation

Each tenant database is a physically distinct SQLite database in dedicated storage. There are no shared tables between customers, and no query path that can cross tenants. This is an architectural property of the Service, not just a policy promise.

Cookies and local storage

The Service sets a single essential session cookie when you sign in to the dashboard (used to keep you signed in; no advertising or analytics tracking). The marketing pages set no cookies. The base Privacy Policy’s analytics-cookie provisions apply to Equational’s main website, not to this Service.

Sharing

We share account data only with service providers strictly necessary to operate the Service (currently: cloud infrastructure — Amazon Web Services, US regions — and, for paid plans, our payment processor). We share Personal Information to comply with applicable law or to protect our rights, as in the base Privacy Policy.

Retention, export, and deletion

You can download your Workspace Data (the raw database file) at any time. You can delete a database from the dashboard; it is removed from storage after a grace period. To delete your account, email info@equationalapplications.com — we remove the account, its email-guard record, memberships, and database registry entries, and schedule remaining storage for deletion.
